Edupack is Open

Open Source Code + Transparent Communication = Better Higher Ed

This week, we deployed Version 0.0.1 of Edupack.

Version 0.0.1 is our first step to a WordPress-based, Open Source platform that empowers every aspect of Higher Ed website publishing.

Our core code is published under the GNU General Public License, version 2. The GNU license gives everyone a chance to use Edupack, fork our codebase, and contribute features.

Higher Ed pros can access Edupack through our Beta program. The program is totally free. We only ask for one monthly call to discuss your Edupack use.

How will we pay for Open Source work?

Edupack plans on charging for support services to pay for future Open Source developments. Our support adds an extra level of insurance to customers who want it, but users will not have to purchase support services to use Edupack. The plans will be priced so that institutions who need our support can afford it.

Our Goal: A More Open Higher Ed

Edupack’s team knows that we don’t have all the answers.

We commit to Open Source code and transparent communication in order to work with a community that is larger than our small team. In return, we commit to working hard for your trust as we collectively improve Higher Ed web publishing.
